Short biography of Thornton Davidson

Thornton Davidson (br. 1957) is the son of Madeline (dec.) and Jamie Davidson. He has one sibling, Peter, who resides in Eugene, Oregon.

Thornton Davidson was educated in Fresno prior to High School, attended Phillips Academy (Andover) and Columbia University (New York City). At Columbia he was educated by Pellegrino D'Acierno, David Shapiro, Wallace Gray, and Kenneth Koch. While attending Columbia, Mr. Davidson served as the Editor of the Columbia Review.

Mr. Davidson is co-founder of The ERISA Law Group (with Robert Rosati), a national firm representing disabled clients throughout the United States.

Mr. Davidson is married to Charlynn Davidson, a teacher in the Fresno County Unified School System. Charlynn and Thornton Davidson share five children between them: Boden (1982), Cameron (1984), Sean (1985), Justin (1987), and Jamie (1993). Charlynn's and Thornton's prior marriages ended in divorce.

Mr. Davidson serves as the President of Woodward Shakespeare Festival, a charitable organization that funds and produces thirty free productions of Shakespeare plays in Fresno's Woodward Park each summer. Mr. Davidson is also a part-time playwright, having written: Soaps of Paris; Wake Up, Darling; and You Can Keep It. He also retains an abiding interest in the food industry as a instrument of teaching healthy eating and ecological principals such as sustainability and recycling.

Mr. and Mrs. Davidson reside primarily in Fresno. They also spend some of their time in Paso Robles (CA) and Waldoboro (ME).
